1 VITAMIN Helps Heart Disease, Diabetes, Cancer, Blood Pressure
Welcome, everyone. Dr. Mandel here. I want to review some important signs that you should be aware of that your body may be begging for vitamin D. Vitamin and D is probably one of the most important fatsoluble vitamins that we need within our body.
Unfortunately, we are deficient because of the fact that we get very little sun. We cannot get enough from our foods. Vitamin D functions like a hormone, and every single cell in your body has receptor for it.
When your skin is exposed to sunlight, your body will make it from cholesterol. It’s hard to believe, but at least a billion people worldwide are deficient in vitamin D. Having dark skin, being elderly, being overweight or obese, not eating much fish or dairy, always using sunscreen when going out, or spending lots of time indoors. You may be a common risk factor for vitamin D deficiency.
Do you notice that your immune system is always weak? You’re getting sick very often, and do you also notice that it takes you a long time to get well? Are you always experiencing fatigue and tiredness, and no matter how much you sleep, nothing seems to change? You notice that as the day goes on, your energy levels continue to get lower and lower.
What about your bone health? Have you been told that you’re losing calcium from the bone? Have you been diagnosed with osteoporosis? And does your back always seem to ache on you all the time? What about your mood? Are you always feeling depressed? You can’t figure out why. Are you experiencing hard times to get motivated?
And what about your wound healing? You might have cut or abrahed your arm or leg, and you notice that it’s healing very slow. Are you experiencing chronic muscle pain? You notice that that pain just keeps coming back and won’t go away. You may also be experiencing sensory changes where you may have tingling, numbness, or sensations that’s occurring on your skin.
What about your sleep? Are you having a hard time getting to sleep? Do you notice that you’re always waking up constantly throughout the night? Does your body seem to sweat profusely and other people around you don’t have that problem?
You may also notice that the temperature is not that hot either, and your hair may continue to thin out and you’re emotionally going crazy because you feel as if you’re going bald. Are you experiencing any skin problems like eczema? Itching redness dermatitis anywhere on your body. Woman are you one that experiences urinary tract infections?
You’ve been to your doctor many times, and no one can figure out why. And ladies, what about those PMS symptoms like those mood swings, those food cravings, and even tender breasts? Chronic bowel problems like irrital bowel syndrome. It may involve diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fatigue.
So if you are experiencing any of these conditions, you may be suffering from vitamin D deficiency. The recommended daily allowance of vitamin D is 400 to 800. IUs per day. Several studies recommend taking larger doses. I hope that this makes big changes for your health.
