But when you understand what watermelon can do for your arteries, as well as lowering your blood pressure and taking stress off of your heart, you’re going to want to eat watermelon. So let me just tell you a few facts to get you excited that you should definitely be eating watermelon. And watermelon is a natural source of lcitrulline. It’s an amino acid that plays a crucial role in the production of nitric oxide.

And nitric oxide helps relax and dilate our blood vessels. It leads to improved blood flow and reduces the arterial stiffness of our arteries. And lcitrulline stimulates nitric oxide, which is found in the endothelial inner lining of our blood vessels.

And when these nitric oxide gases increase, it widens, it vasodilates the arteries. In other words, when these arteries are constricted, the heart has more resistance to pump blood through a smaller hose or a smaller artery. But when these arteries open up, the heart does not have to pump as hard. It takes so much pressure off the heart.

And by allowing more oxygen to get through those arteries, we’re allowing more life to get to all the cells throughout your body. And watermelon is packed with antioxidants, including vitamin A and c, lycopene and betacarotene. And these antioxidants help to combat oxidative stress and reduces inflammation, and which is the key contributors to arterial damage and high blood pressure. And watermelon is packed with potassium.

And what does that mean? Well, potassium will help widen the arteries as well as allow more blood to get through it. But potassium will lower sodium levels. So when your sodium levels are higher, guess what, you retain more fluid.

And when you retain more fluid, our blood pressure goes higher. So by eating your watermelon, this will continue to relax your blood vessels and promote those healthy blood pressure levels. So pressure could be taken off the heart, reducing pressure in the kidneys as well as the brain and other organs, as well as keeping you healthy.

And watermelon has a high water content, approximately 92%. And staying properly hydrated is essential for maintaining healthy blood pressure levels because when your body is well hydrated, blood volume is optimized leading to improved circulation and lower blood pressure. Now here is 12oz. One and a half cups of watermelon, approximately 350 grams.

This is a nice little amount to have as a snack. I love watermelon before I go to bed because it fills me up, it hydrates me. It works as a diuretic, it cleanses me out. This is filling. It’s only 100 calories. It’s sweet, it’s tasty, it helps my blood vessels and it helps lower my blood pressure.

And I just want the world to know one thing, that watermelon is healthy. It gives you satiety. It keeps you from overeating. It makes you feel full. In this way, it will help you sleep where you’re not feeling hungry. So here’s the bottom line. It’s scientifically proven that watermelon is filled with lcitrulline.

Lcitrulline stimulates nitric oxide in the endothelial cells in the inner lining of our arteries. It helps lower blood pressure, it widens arteries. It allows oxygen to get more to the cells so you can stay healthier. I hope you enjoyed this video. Please share it with your friends and family.
